Results and calibration
Results and Calibration
Because every forecast is frozen before kickoff, First Half Score can compare the exact percentages users saw against what actually happened, so the model is judged from its recorded history, not isolated examples.
Frozen pre-match forecasts
The prediction displayed before kickoff is preserved unchanged. Historical results and calibration are therefore compared against the exact percentage and selection shown before the match, not a number recalculated after the result became known.
What calibration measures
Calibration checks whether the displayed percentages line up with real outcomes over time. For example, whether matches shown around a given FH over 1.5 percentage actually reached two first-half goals at a comparable rate. It is a way to audit the numbers rather than a promise about any single match.
History you can audit
- Each past forecast is preserved with the percentage and selection that were displayed.
- Results are recorded against those frozen figures, day by day.
- Calibration views summarize how the displayed percentages performed.
Why it matters
Transparent history makes it possible to evaluate the model as a whole rather than from a handful of winning examples. Read about how the model works, or see the current first half goals predictions.
