Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel whenever you like, in a couple of clicks, and keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Payments already taken are not refunded, and the free trial exists so you can decide before paying anything.

How to cancel
Sign in, go to Billing, and use Cancel subscription, or open the billing portal and cancel there. It takes effect immediately and you will see the date your access ends.
If you cannot reach the page for any reason, email support@firsthalfscore.com and we will cancel it for you. We will never require you to phone, chat, or explain yourself to cancel.
What happens after you cancel
- Your subscription stops renewing straight away.
- You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Nothing further is charged after that, and your card is not kept on file for future billing.
- Your account stays open. You can subscribe again at any time, though the free trial is one per person.
The free 4-day trial
The trial needs no card and costs nothing, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. If you do not subscribe, access simply stops when the 4 days are up.
If you pick a plan during the trial, we tell you the exact date and amount of your first charge before you confirm, and you can cancel any time before that date without being charged at all.
Our refund policy
Payments already made are not refunded, including for partly used periods. Because the trial gives you full access to the entire product before you pay anything, we do not offer a second trial period after purchase.
We do issue refunds in these cases:
- We charged you in error, for example a duplicate charge or a charge after you had cancelled.
- You were charged an amount that does not match the plan you selected.
- You subscribed by mistake and contact us within 48 hours, having barely used the service.
- We discontinue the service during a period you have paid for, in which case we refund the unused portion.
- A prolonged outage or fault made the service substantially unusable for a significant part of your billing period.
Beyond that we will still look at anything you write to us. If your situation is not on the list but you think it is fair, email us and explain, and a person will read it.
How to request a refund
Email support@firsthalfscore.com from the address on your account, with the date and amount of the charge and a sentence on what happened. We reply within three business days.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, and usually appear within five to ten business days depending on your bank.
Losing bets are not grounds for a refund
We publish research, not tips or guaranteed outcomes. Model estimates are probabilities, which means they are expected to be wrong a good share of the time even when the model is working exactly as intended. A losing run is not a fault in the service, and we cannot refund subscriptions on that basis.
If betting is affecting your finances or wellbeing, please read our responsible gambling page. We will always cancel a subscription on request, without argument, for anyone who asks for that reason.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, please email us first. We can almost always sort it out faster than your bank can, and a chargeback raised without contacting us may result in the account being closed. Your statutory rights and your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer are unaffected.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer protection law where you live. Where local law gives you a cancellation or refund right stronger than this policy, that right applies.
Your subscription is with Vincent Ploum, a sole proprietor based in New York, United States, trading as First Half Score. Charges appear on your statement through Stripe.
